I’ve always been drawn to the power of storytelling. I believe that stories can change the world, and I’m committed to using my skills as a journalist to tell stories that make a difference.
I have a breadth and depth of experience in writing, editing, and community building for impact-driven organizations and creative communities. I’m a highly technical communicator with grit and integrity. I’m also a conceptual and empathetic multimedia storyteller who is passionate about change and social justice.
I’ve spent many years growing my craft in copywriting, content strategy, film, photography, graphic design, layout, infographics, social storytelling, digital content layout/production, interviewing, and media development/production. I’m a contributor to music, music ecosystems, arts, and culture. I’ve covered live events, social justice, DEI, outdoors, adventure, travel, cycling, community, cheese, culture, content, sustainability, inclusion, small business, marketing solutions, and long and short-form journalism with multimedia components.

In 2014, Cynthia founded Argento Studios to give a voice to those who need it most. An impact-driven organization serving the outdoor industry, snowsports, environmentalism, climate change, adventure, travel, creative communities, music ecosystems, arts, and culture. Tackling important issues with a commitment to using content to make a positive impact on the world.
Tread Agency – Designed and built the WordPress pages for the Traction Series.
Snowsports Industries America – Author of some Nick’s Notes emails, edited speech for Outdoor Retailer, shaped an email publishing schedule process to coordinate with a weekly publishing deadline. Consulted on an online community plan and consulted a membership marketing campaign. Published and supported the design of First Track’s Business of Winter Email.
Outsiders Network – Growth Consultant – Grew social channel and built an online community through organic strategies and paid ads on Facebook/Instagram. Wrote articles and interviewed the outsider’s multicultural talent network. Advised on best tactics and wrote an overall content marketing plan for growth.
Published MVP of the Print Version of The Silver Lining Magazine as a contribution to the creative arts community during the pandemic. This publication sold out all hard copies, and digitized articles will live on the already-established 2016 personal blog of Argento Studios. Expansion of the magazine digitally is on its way.
Nashville Music Masters – Developed WordPress site, Branding, Marketing, PR, and Social Channels. Created video, photography, and digital content.
Women’s Grand Prix, Media support. Played a key role in helping women gain access to the US PRO Challenge through content and PR efforts, an event they had previously been excluded from. This proved to be a turning point for women’s cycling, as it marked the beginning of the Women’s Cycling Association’s fight for minimum wage rights for women cyclists. Thanks to the success of the Women’s Grand Prix, women were allowed to ride in the following challenge and offered generous purse prizes. Served as the PR and sponsorship liaison, providing logistical support as needed.
MJWOW- Indie Film – Developed a comprehensive social media strategy for an independent feature film focused on gender parity, social justice, and eco-sustainability. This included digital content, photography, blog posts, and PR. Secured feature articles in six national publications (with photographs published in New York Times and more), increased follower count by 2000 in just 90 days, and raised over $7,000 through crowdfunding. Staying within the confines of social media marketing regulations in this emerging industry. Positioned the campaign to showcase accomplished female leaders. This strategy led to a significantly expanded follower base and raised awareness for a film bringing positive change to the industry.
North Forty News/ Scene Magazine
In 2017-2020, Cynthia was the Managing Editor of two legacy publications, North Forty News and The Scene Magazine. She managed two concurrent content calendars, ensuring all interviews, features, and social media content aligned with print schedules and deadlines. She also managed WordPress sites, submissions from freelancers, and community partnership posts. Cynthia maintained, created, and delivered digital content across all publications, optimizing deliverables for SEO and editing, laying out the pages, and linking them to the appropriate destinations. She built the infrastructure to turn a monthly rural newspaper into a weekly one and enhanced the digital performance of the lifestyle and culture magazine. Cynthia worked with new technologies to create an event calendar with listings of 1,000 or more across the Northern Colorado region.
From 2012-2014, Cynthia was the Chief Relationship Officer at Studio Hyperset. She drove the strategic direction of the sales and marketing department, leading the overall creative direction and developing and executing marketing, content, social media, and blog strategies within HubSpot. Cynthia also conducted interviews and created infographics. She built a geographically diverse team of freelance sales executives and WordPress Developers, expanding staff from three to eight fully remote staff members. Cynthia cultivated, nurtured, and maintained external relationships with vendors, freelancers, and stakeholders. She consistently attained on-schedule email and social media marketing campaigns within HubSpot and organically through content marketing.
MouCo Cheese Company
From 2010-2013, Cynthia was the Marketing Director, Business Development, and Event Staff Manager for MouCo Cheese. She led the development and implementation of marketing strategies and programs, managed the sales team and production staff, planned and executed events, and built strong relationships with local and national retailers.
